Marquis Who's Who
01 / The Practitioner
Thirty-five years at the intersection of evidence and instinct.
Becoming a forensic trial consultant was not Mr. Tong's first career choice. It was a matter of survival. Over Four decades ago he faced false accusations that nearly cost him his children — and chose to turn that experience into rigorous, court-ready expertise for other innocent families.
Today, Dean Tong holds a combined Master of Science Degree in Psychology and the Law in the field of Child Forensic Studies from the Universities of Portsmouth and Leeds in the United Kingdom and is a registered and certified child forensic interviewer through the National Association of Certified Child Forensic Interviewers (www.naccfi.com), and forensic trial consultant. He has assisted in court cases from all 50 states. Since 1995, Tong has fielded 30K queries from parents, attorneys, investigators, psychologists, et al relative to divorces, child custody battles, false allegations of child abuse (physical, sexual, psychological/parental alienation), false allegations of Shaken Baby Syndrome, false allegations by moms coaching children to make false allegations of child sexual abuse, false allegations of failure to protect, false allegations of Factitious Disorder Imposed Upon Another (formerly known as Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy), et al. Tong has testified over 80 times as an Expert Witness in multiple areas of Psychology and Social Science in Court cases from 20 States. His work has been peer-reviewed multiple times in The American Journal of Family Therapy. In June 2026, he co-authored a 4th book Parents' Pawns: Expert Advice in Navigating False Allegations and Parental Alienation; an academic work published by Charles C. Thomas Book Publisher. As a nationally recognized Expert in his field, Tong has been featured on CBS 48 Hours, CNN, and Dr. Phil, et al was selected as a 2018 and 2019 Marquis Who's Who Albert Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.
