Focused forensic review and critique of child forensic interviews, Child Advocacy Center reports, and child protective investigations.

Expert Limited Scope Services

A less expensive endeavor, Expert Limited Scope services provide focused analysis of specific components of your case.

In this capacity, Mr. Tong reviews and critiques child forensic interviews presented in video, audio, transcript, and related formats, as well as written reports authored by Child Advocacy Center personnel involved in your case.

Following review, Mr. Tong generates an independent written report addressing methodology, objectivity, investigative practices, and areas of concern relevant to the case.

The same Limited Scope retainer agreement applies when Mr. Tong is retained to review and critique the competency, objectivity, and handling of child protective investigations conducted by governmental officials.

When Expert Assistance Matters

If you have been charged with child sexual assault, child abuse, incest, gross sexual imposition, aggravated child physical abuse, domestic violence, or similar allegations and maintain your innocence, expert consultation may be essential before plea negotiations or trial.

Likewise, if your children are at risk of removal by CPS or your case is before a juvenile or family court, expert review can be a critical component of your legal strategy.

Why Attorneys Need Experts

Attorneys practice law. Expert witnesses provide professional opinions.

In cases involving CPS intake workers, protective investigators, child forensic interviewers, detectives, advanced practice registered nurses conducting sexual abuse examinations, and therapists, attorneys often require assistance from qualified experts who can evaluate investigative methodology and challenge witness credibility.

Mr. Tong possesses extensive experience in this field and assists counsel in preparing for contested hearings and trials involving complex allegations and high-conflict family dynamics.
